A high school kid saw my NS7000 and was like "OHHHH! AHHHH!" He said it was his favorite racket. I replied, I enjoyed the racket as well but it was too fragile for me, that I had already cracked two and didn't want to crack the 3rd one. The kid asked if I was willing to sell or trade it and I said depends. He offered me 5 old rackets and I said "No, thanks." He became very depressed. For the next two hours, I saw him eye my NS7000 and I just decided to trade him even though I knew I would never use any of those rackets. You should have seen the joy on his face as he showed his high school friends his new racket.
Sorry, I'm in the US. Your best chance was when a group of fine Lads came over to see the WCs from Liverpool.
Cab 21sp back 1989... I remember it vividly because I'd asked a friend who went back HK to pick up a Cab 20 for me and he was persuaded by the shop keeper to buy a 21 instead. Still I ended up using Cab 21s for over 10 years before I switched to Cab 25s. Nowadays I've ended full circle and playing with Cab 20s
May be the 5 old rackets include Boron 2, Boron 200, Iso 800 Blue CN, Iso slim 10 old logo CN and AR 110 old look CN........................ Just Kidding. What are the 5 old rackets?? May be I am interested on them.
Yonex: Blacken Choice of Champions Aerotus 77 Cab 9 Carlton: Boron (I think) Sorry, all are spoken for. Sold two, gave away two and kept one, the Blacken and added a bunch of lead tape, that's my warm-up racket. My Blacken is now a -3U.
My first racket was a blacken. That racket was indestructible.... wish I still had it.. Over the years it has been cab8's and even a Boron Classic
Boron Classic is also a very good racket. Other than those low end Yasaki rackets, Boron Classic is my first racket.
Broke two of them?! What did you do? Hit the concrete ground with them? I'm holding my Blacken right now and there's no way that stainless steel monster is going to break.
first racket was an old old ooooooooooooooooooold cab8. broke that like a day after i got it :crying: then i got a cab8200 and now i'm using an at500
I think I smack 1 against the steel post that held up the net. I was a beginner back then. The other was from a clash against another Blacken. It snapped the shaft (where shaft meets the cone).
OK, that makes me feel better because the Blacken is a beast. When I pull out the Blacken, people run for the hills.
