Even though LD has been performing so-so in the past 6 months (yes, including this BAC, IMHO his form is at most slightly better than AE and Swiss), even though PG has just beaten LD, people still think PG has almost no chance... :D:D

Btw, even if LD will beat PG 100%, MD1 should be like China 40 - 60 Denmark, so it should be

    after MD1: 40% CHN 2 DEN 0; 60% CHN 1 DEN 1; 0% CHN 0 DEN 2.

    IMHO,

    China vs Denmark

    MS1 55:45
    MD1 40:60
    MS2 55:45
    MD2 50:50
    MS3 60:40

    China vs Malaysia

    MS1 50:50
    MD1 40:60
    MS2 60:40
    MD2 55:45
    MS3 55:45 (Yes I still believe in HH. :D:D:D)

    China vs Indonesia

    MS1 70:30
    MD1 45:55
    MS2 50:50
    MD2 55:45
    MS3 55:45

    China vs Korea

    MS1 55:45
    MD1 45:55
    MS2 ??
    MD2 55:45
    MS3 ??

Clearly, the chance for the other 4 countries is try to take MS1. This is hard but far from impossible -- LD's form in the past 6 months is not convincing at all, his movement much slower, his explosive power rarely seen... There is not a single moment in the past 6 months at which LD performed better than LCW's average performance in 2010. LCW and PG, maybe PSH (not likely according to his performance in the past year) should have chance to beat LD.

If LD lost, then more likely than not China will face 0:2. A situation (as far as I remember) never faced by any player in the current team. How will they do under such pressure? Things will be interesting then.

I hate to say this, but believe China will win again.

I do hope there's some surprises for this year TC.

My biggest bet is on Denmark to surprise everyone, somehow I have feeling that this year could be their year by looking at their current SS performances.

The next surprise could be Indonesia, but I doubt it will happen.

As for Malaysia, they only depend on LCW, no one except him so can forget about their chances.

As for Korea, quite tough too, their young MS players are not experience enough to endure the pressures.

Yup, China is unstoppable to win Uber Cup seven times in a row since 1998. And who will be UC runner-up for this year edition?

share your predictions except CHN vs KOR. I must say 60:40 in favour of CHN for both MS2 and MS3 la...

and again, since TC is an event involing national honour, LYB would do everything to train up LD to best possible form if not the best. so should not use his form in the past few months as a standard... still remember LD's performance prior to OG08 vs his form during OG08...

As the fanfare of TC rises, so will the Boleh fans. I have two views of what the outcome might be. The negative one is Malaysia will lose and so needless to say much more about it.

The positive one is that the home crowd would ignite a '1992 atmosphere'. None of these Malaysian players have been through this '1992 atmosphere' but they will feel it on the day.

It will happen if LCW wins the 1st singles. If the 1st MD (KKK-TBH) wins, the sky would open up. After that, it matters not whether it is WZM of CJ or BCL as they will be facing a brick wall that would crumble on them. This describes what happened in 1992.

The stadium would fill with a million decibels (gongs, drums, shouts, yells, horns, etc. - you name it, they will be heard). All Boleh fans are tuning their voices for this - sharp and loud. It will be a crowded house - the Chinese players will feel it crowding into their play.

Sorry, I think they are the likely ones to meet Malaysia (no qualms if you think your team will make it).

LYB will be having a hard time this year. Even if he loses. He will lose his pride for 2 years. Then he will win it again.

If the Chinese saying is correct that everything is a 7-yr cycle, then I think LYB must be close to that.:D Heard he broke a mirror when he peers into a mirror recently after a horrid night:D

0-2 down. That is a very unlikely scenario for CHN with about at most a 10% chance, but if that happens, BCL's nerves might face a problem. ASSUMING that they are tied at 2-2, BCL will know that he alone decides who will win or lose. Can BCL perform under tremendous pressure? That is a real, actual question that can be asked. It is no joke at all, uncle.

    Great

I LIKE YOUR CONFIDENCE !!! We can do it this year. This is not individual competition, rankings or present form don't matter. Anything can happen on that day. As far as I am concerned, Malaysia will take atleast 2 points if playing against China in Thomas Cup this year. No less !

MAS to win? you're having a laugh!

with home advantages, MAS has a very good chance to get 1 point between LCW, KKK&TBH. where will the 2nd point comes from? btw, you need 3 points to win a match.
