Funny to see Victor managed to snatch the sponsorship from LiNing's own turf! Must be helluva big tender from victor
Did boe/mogensen withdrawn from china open ? also yeah surprised that victor is the sponsor for this year china open
In todays game, i find 2 key factors decide a winning and losing. Stamina and confident. The added advantage will be a killer shot. Most of the top players have all the basic shots.
Not surprising, China is the most sought-after market in the world, and business competition is very keen.
And the draw. Now, more than ever before, I think, that the draw is a big factor on who eventually wins, specially in WS.
He Jiting/Tan Qiang did much better than their senior in the semi final, they did make it very difficult for the Minions until mid 3rd game when finally the Indonesians broke open & made their run to win the game (finally the young chinese lose their mental focus & made many mental errors). I did watch both games and the Minions are not playing all that much better compared to the semifinal, they just played a much more underpar opponent in the final.
I sense some discontent on them, perhaps they don't like the suggested strategy, resent it, and doing it half heartedly ? Some resentment toward their coach himself ? Liu Yuchen seems to be the more outspoken player, and from the interaction in the mid game break, his reaction looks quite negative toward whatever spoken by coach Chen Qiqiu.
Yeah agreed, i might even suspect, god forbid, some horrible family news that was known by him just when the game about to start.
I think they were told to keep lifting the bird and play more defense. The thing is they didn't know how to effectively apply the new strategy. Completely clueless. Even if Li Junhui's really injured (as mentioned by some people here), he at least could have showed some fighting spirit. We can see how Marcus dealt with his neck injury during the whole SSF Dubai 2017 or even Lilyana Natsir is still giving her best with "only one leg".
I said they had played much better than they would usually have in a slow hall, I wasn't comparing the semifinal with the final. It was pretty obvious who did better between the 2 CHN pairs. Not going to mention it at all lol. Just didn't expect the minions would have gone all out in the slow hall despite the opponents not playing well. But it was nice to see.
