YES!!! Andre Kurniawan Tedjono wins the Men's Singles title after a topsy-turvy match against Chetan Anand, esp in the third set. Anand was leading comfortably at 17-11, before Andre launched a late comeback that won him 8 pts in a row to overtake Anand at 18-17. It was a nerve-wrecking finale, but Andre took it 21-19 in the rubber-set! So, 1 title for Team Djarum today!

Chetan played too passively when leading 17-11 in the decider. Unbelievable comeback by Andre but disappointment for Chetan.

Any prize presentation ceremony? As far as I know, no medals or trophies handed out during the past 2 years of Dutch Open. Only prize monies being given.

What a wonderful performance by Andre. Never say die attitude, intimidating presence.

Anand worry too much about his hair throughout the game. Want to make sure to look good on tv.

Yeah, Andre got the "Old-fashioned" trophy. Chetan looked very disappointed during the prize presentation but Andre showed too much excitement and forgot to comfort Chetan.

With the 5000 pts earned this week, Andre Kurniawan Tedjono should leap to no 16 in the World Ranking by next week. The next big tourneys for him should be the Vietnam Open GP and the Hong Kong Super Series.

    1) They miscalculated the time difference & thought it has finished or havent started. :p
    2) No big names, so less interest ;)
    3) FOr me, there was a thunderstorm earlier, if I didnt offline, would have whipped out my CPU :D:p

As expected again, the more experienced Danish pair is punishing Mel/Shendy now. They take the first set 21-16.

But there're 4 Indonesia players/pairs in the finals. In case you havent noticed, there have been an increase Indonesia BCers since 2008 Taiwan Open (or rather after OG);).
During Taiwan, Japan, CHina Masters, Macau, they all gathered around during the finals. Must be the time difference then, they waited & waited, didnt start, they gave up.:D:p
