The BWF rules state that you can not play for another country at certain BWF events (eg Olympics, Thomas/Uber, Sudirman, World Champs) if you have represented a different country at one of those events in the last 3 years. Nick Represented england at the 2007 WC in August of that year, while the thomas cup was within three years of that event (may 2010)

So in anwser to your question he was not elegible to represent Australia by BWF regulations

Don't worry about Alamsyah Yunus having a rest

    .
Don't worry about AY having a rest because he has just arrived, while NTM arrived 3 days earlier.

I met up with AY today when he was there to give coaching tips to Yoga Pratama in an exciting 3-games match against Nick Kidd. The result: Yoga Pratama won 21-17, 17-21, 21-18 in 53 minutes.

I was sitting (on the coaches' chairs) together with AY to analyse the match (to assist YP). Later I was asked by some spectators if I was the coach for YP. :):):)

who is Joe Wu, and how is he the second seed ? No offence to any Joe Wu fans but if he gets to the semi finals, Alistair Casey will thrash him :) (Speaking from a totally unbias point of view of course)

2010 Australian Badminton Open GP: Joe Wu is the second seed

    .
Joe Wu is the second seed because of the ranking points he has earned from participating in BWF tournaments over the last 12 months.

Glad to hear that. Bless on you to be 'accused' as coach :D
Btw, today I saw at ts Ong Beng Teong, he played for AUS now. If I didn't remember it wrong, he was MAS player at 90s. How old is he now?

But seems like she can... 21-1 in the 2nd. Almost perfect.

Joe Wu will not make the semi, but neither will Alistair Casey, Yogendran will beat him comfortably.

Great, Zulfadli has easily breezed through to the third round. He will probably be defeated by NTM tomorrow. It will be a good experience for him playing with a well known and high level player.

Na, you shouldn't underestimate AC, I would think that Yogendran will give Casey a proper match, but not beat him. My prediction is that the final will be between, NTM or AY, and AC

He used to be Cheah Soon Kit's MD partner, 1986 to 1989. Cheah is 42, he's more senior than CSK.
In badminton, can consider 'grand uncle' already .;):p

AC will not make the final, that i will guarentee. I'm just wondering what results AC has got that give you such confidence in him? I don't think I can recall him beating any players of significance. I remember he played in Aus a few years ago and lost to Australia's top junior in the opening round.
