6 hours away from the FINAL MATCHES . It is about 6 hours away from the FINAL MATCHES. Schedule: https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...76F387-F73A-4B14-BDEB-D5D59D6CB275&d=20140629 Without any No.1 seeds, Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi (Japan) is the highest seed (at No.2). Could there be 3 unseeded participants winning at the FINALS? It's going to be a very windy day in Sydney today (at 31kph), but a nice cool temperature (at 17°C). .
Yup, correct. CHN WS had won 7 SS title in this year so far through Li XR (MAS Open, JPN, INA), Wang YH (KOR, SIN) and Wang SX (All England, IND). Today's five interesting finals : XD, Michael Fucs/Birgit Michels (GER) v Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na (KOR) H-2-H stats : 2-1 The German pair who books two SS finals in three weeks should realize their dream to win their maiden SS title WD, Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei (CHN) v Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi (JPN) H-2-H : 6-2 Another stumbling block for the Olympic Champion to bag back to back title as they will challenge high potential JPN pair to stop them. Tian/Zhang always playing rubber games with really close margin en route to the final WS, Saina Nehwal (IND) v Carolina Marin (ESP) H-2-H : 1-0 The Indian superstar will capitalize her chance to claim top honour in SS tournament after disposed her biggest obstacle, one of CHN top-three yesterday. MD, Lee Young Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong (KOR) v Lee Sheng Mu/Tsai Chia Hsin (TPE) H-2-H : 1-0 Korean MD is clear favourite to create SS hat-trick MS, Lin Dan (CHN) v Simon Santoso (INA) H-2-H : 10-1 Well, the comeback Lin Dan in SS final against rejuvenated Santoso. The Indonesian had denied strong fave Lee CW in SIN Open final and this time he will try to beat another best MS despite limping head to head. Last meeting, 2012 Thomas Cup group stage match when Super Dan won straight-sets at that time.
LSM is my favourite MD player so I hope those guys win, but LYD/YYS are on fire at the moment so it's theirs to lose. I actually have a feeling that the MS match isn't going to be that straight-forward. Santoso's overhead deception is amazing, but LD can really push the corners meaning Santoso is going to have to work hard for every point. It's going to be very interesting
KSH/KHN takes first game 21-16 against Fuchs / Michels. Not many long rallies. the Koreans are winning more of the net battles and the guys are strong enough that the shuttle don't get return often after a lift. you can probably find a puddle of drool on GC's keyboard.
Long rally finally. with Fuchs playing around 10 shots with broken string and finally a drive to win the rally! i thought that was a close enough call to challenge. but alas, it was IN and the point goes to the Germans.
Kim ha na wow they did it...after her dissastourous def in WD in the previous tourney....it is a great boost for them...really happy for ksh/khn but the Germans failed to win again a Lil unhappy for this hardworking pair...
Having 3 SS tournaments in 3 consecutive weeks has increased the opportunities for more players to get a crack at the titles.
