Qualification rounds. Some tough calls and upsets on the cards but I predict the following to advance to the main draw:

MS: Tien Minh NGUYEN, John MOODY, Tommy SUGIARTO, Seung Mo SHON

MD: Robert ADCOCK/Robin MIDDLETON, Naoki KAWAMAE/Keishi KAWAGUCHI, Bo ZHENG/Chen XU, Rasmus MANGOR ANDERSEN/Peter BUUR STEFFENSEN

WS: Elizabeth CANN, Salakjit PONSANA, Julia Pei Xian WONG, Yihan WANG (according to seeding!)

WD: Fiona MCKEE/Charmaine REID, Hui Lin NG/Liu Ying GOH, Judith MEULENDIJKS/Jie YAO, Nitya Krishinda MAHESWARI/Lita NURLITA

XD: Craig COOPER/Renee FLAVELL, Wee Kiong TAN/Khe Wei WOON, Michal LOGOSZ/Natalie MUNT, Tadashi OHTSUKA/Satoko SUETSUNA

    Hmm..

..shouldn't it be the other way around for LCW & TH??...as for motivation, it's definitely Taufik...:p
    ..from which tourney/lost??..

Park has a pretty good record against LD. Every player has someone he has trouble against. In LD's case it is PSH. Just do a search on that (sorry, it was naughty of me to cross threads) :D:D;)

Remember...Lin Dan lost to Park Sung Hwan in the very first round of his home event (China Open 2007), even though he had match points in his hand.

Poor LD. Possible horror route for him, facing the great wall of Korea: SSM,PSH,LHI with LM in his line of sight for 3 consecutive matches!!!He may much prefer meeting TH.Great treat in store for AE fans;the gigantic LCW-TH clash, with both at their most motivated.QF matches are the best deal. Wonder if RTM will broadcast selective QF matches which will likely be off-peak time?

I agree --- BAO is not that good as he makes it out to be. It was just Hafiz was not any better before. If Hafiz steps up, he can take him out. If Hafiz fizzles instead of sizzles, then I think he will have even more people knocking him.

    Hafiz, do or die !

Absolutely. LD will relive his 'nightmares'.:D

As for TH vs LCW, it has been a while since the titans met. My eyes will be glued to the TV if it is to be broadcasted.

LD is a champion with 2 WCs and 3 AEs. He will be game to take on any shuttler. Thats the hallmark of a true champion.

I am so looking forward to the AE.

Bao should have no problems with Hafiz.
The only problem LD should have is against PSH but he will be extremely motivated to annihilate the Korean, can't wait!

    Wow...what a draw....

    MS.

I doubt LD will go through the Final Round....Either PSH or LHI will stop him.
PSH must be very, very happy with the draw

LCW vs TH...Hmmmm As this year AE might be his last AE, I am sure it is will be very, very hard this time for LCW to defeat TH.

Only question is whether TH has been motivated enough to train seriously for the AE. His recent form is not inspiring enough to convince us thus far, unfortunately. :(

Double or nothing the two nasi padang you owed me ? I take LCW to beat Taufik -- I give you odds too if you want :D- i.e. if Taufik wins, you win back the two you owed me but if I win, I win only one (to make 3 you would owe). Mahu ?
