    Hi guys,
Newbie to the forum here... Am trying to decide whether to get the P9200 or the A920. My concern is that it's a V-Shape. I'm currently using SH910, which is a U-Shape 2.5. I find the fitting to be very comfortable on that. Since they're both V-Shape, I'm considering buying 1 size up (44). My thought is if it's slightly too big, I can add an insole. What do you guys think? I'm currently leaning toward the P9200 since it has more cushion. Any thought on the V-shape vs U-shape. I watched Paul's video, but he didn't mention how the front width compared between the P9200 & A920.

My S80 were the same size as all my other shoes and I didn't notice any difference, nor did the "pointiness" seem to affect me.

Sadly, the only way to make sure is to try them on.

I've tried on the P9200 in the store before and I own a pair of A920. I can tell you that the P9200 is wider at the front than the 920s. It's not by much but there is a difference.

    How about comparison of cushioning?

I can't comment. I only comment on things like that when I've had actually court usage. Experience with many shoes has taught me that no matter how thick a sole may feel in the shop. It is not a representation of how much it actually works in actual usage.

    Paul,
Can you comment on the width between A920 & P9200? Are they similar? You comment that the 920 is slightly wider to the S80, but no comment on the 9200 width in the video. Thanks!

Thanks! What make you decide on the 920 instead of 9200?

Nothing. I bought the 920 before there was even a whiff of 9200.

I've had 9100 and 930, and I find there's noticeably more toe room in the 9100, should expect the same from 9200.

I have both shoes too and I'll agree but the difference is not as much as the the difference between the 920 and 9200. But we're talking millimetres not centimetres I will say the 930 is for me a far better shoe than the 920 though. It's much closer to my beloved 8500 in feel.

Hey everyone, so I am also trying to decide on which shoes to buy. I'm deciding between the P9200 and the A920. I don't have the option of going into a shop to compare the models so I was hoping you guys could help me out. My last pair of shoes were the SH-A850. I really liked these shoes. One of the reasons I liked this shoe was that the tongue of the shoe is more molded in, rather than just being connected by a flimsy elastic. I think the A920 have the same style tongue, but I'm not sure about the P9200. Does the P9200 have the same style tongue? I hope the images will help with my explanation. Also has anyone had the A850 and can maybe recommend one or the other as similar. Thanks!

Yes the tongue on the P9200 is exactly like that, but I think it's slightly better as the the width of the band connecting the tongue is wider.

Too bad I bought the Rio version already.
Felt the stability of the shoes not as good as my cheaper li ning and SHB02. Need Yonex thick socks to make it better fitting
