My office is 2 miles from SGVBC so I visit at least once a week or so. Mostly to watch but on occasion I take a lesson.
I believe the deadline is the 10th of June. You call SGVBC and talk to Andy Monkey. He's in charge of the tourney so he can answer your questions better.
can somebody confirm what i found out? i recently called SGVBC and a female answered and told me that the deadline to pay and register is 12th of june... she didn't sound too sure so does anyone know for sure?
vtec101 says the payment for summer smash is due on the 10th, the girl at san gabriel said 12th, and my friend who always goes there said the 13th... :crying:
Pandee, sorry for the confusion. I was told it was the 10th, but I just got the form and it says payment by the 13th. So I guess the due date is the 13th.

Need Friends to Play with.. Hi I live really close to San Gabriel Valley Gym and I want to join the gym, but I don't know anybody to play with. I have played badminton before but I am not such a good player. I have been rock climbing and cycling since I don't know anyone that plays badminton. I have been to the gym before but I felt so left out because I did not know anybody there and everyone seemed to come with their own groups. I just want to make friends with people that are friendly, kind, and consistent. Thank you.
i went to sgvbc a couple of times and i've seen some people left out... you can start chatting with them and hopefully you guys will become friends and start playing with each other. everyone's nice over there and they're all there to have fun so it shouldn't be too hard getting someone to hit with or play a game with... just that some people don't like sucky players so yea... if you're not too good, you better get better fast... hahaha i had to play with this one guy who had a really short temper and whenever i made a mistake, he made a "tisk" sound... but in my opinion i was better so whatever... he got mad at me in the middle of the match and started yelling at me... -___-

This is no problem. Once you get to know the locals there, they are, in general, friendly. Just smile and they'll smile back. I'll be at SGVBC today...around 4-11pm.
well, just saying that he was chinese with glasses on won't really help yea...? hahahaha i heard that he's not really liked by a lot of people cuz of his short temper and attitude... but oh well...
