How about stiffness? The Natsir is supposed less stiff than 8ST from the RRI, but MBS website has it rated as stiff.
I'll have to get them both on court together but for me the Natsir definitely isn't stiff. It is one of the easiest rackets to use I have ever played with. This racket definitely would benefit from more weight so go for a top end of 4U or a 3U in my advice.
I just put my JS Ahmed 3u up for sale/trade if anyone wants one http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...ictor-JS-Ahmed-T-for-JS10-or-Natsir-UK-Europe It's a great racket but just not as fast as my js10 or natsir so I'm going to get another of those. It looks amazing in red with yellow grip and yellow bg80. I will take some photos later tonight.
Just got a 3U JSA and played the usual sunday doubles games. Bro Benwilluk did a great job in describing it. Compared to my js10(4U) and tk9900(3U MYP), it does feel stiffer and though it is spec as even balance, you can feel the weight in the head in actual play. The frame does looks abit bigger compared to JS9 if i remember the JS9 (borrowed) correctly. Speed wise it is abit slower than the JS 10 and tk9900 but it does have a nice solid feel to it as mentioned by bro benwilluk. The sweet spot is quite big and off center shots still feels ok without vibrations. Much much nicer than the JS9. Still trying to get use to the head weight/frame size and timing to generate more power but you know it's there. Too bad it wasnt a 4U which i think would have been perfect for me. Overall the racket feels good and i like it more than the JS10 and TK9900. If it wasnt a signature racket, i think it would be doing much better. A couple of pics.
Slower than TK9900 MYP? IMO that's pretty slow since the TK9900 is not that fast already. How's the overall weight compare to the TK9900 MYP?
guess you and i couldnt wait for paul to play with it and write his review. lol i am sure you will like the racket.
I'd had a lot of fun with JS Ahmad. i played with it all of last night and really enjoyed the feedback from the frame. looking forward to writing my review now. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
This may be the one that goes under the radar. I used this for a match last night. Think of it as a Thruster with the jetspeed frame profile. Fast, powerful and quite stiff. No problems in defence, quick enough for net and flat exchanges and it hits really hard.
yup. that's why i like it more than the js10 and tk9900. like i said earlier, too bad it is a signature racket (Ahmad's.. who isnt that popular), else it should be selling/doing much better.
Doesn't really help that the guy that it's named after didn't use it much. Anyway, any thoughts on the 3U? Do you think a jump up in weight would make it too slow?
If you're worried try to get a lighter 3U. Having dry swung this racket in the shop I actually feel this is kind of like a "successor" to the LYD but so much better and not noodle like when flexing.
