Nope. The fun nights are opened to non-members too. It's $10.00 for non-members and $5.00 for members. There is a waiting list for membership (for regular sessions) because it is one of the cheapest place around ($135.00/year for once a week = 40 weeks = $3.00+ for 3 hours of play time with high quality feather shuttles). I would suggest that you sign up and try out the (a) facility; (b) social with like-minded baddy players and (c) enjoy a few high quality games.

Yeah, Brian was kind enough to take my payment and called Peter L. to put me in with the intermediates. Wished I did drop-in though... I was aware that RBC is usually packed and their membership/drop-in system kinda put me off -- even though it makes perfect sense-- so I left my gear at home, drove down there to check out the place and sign up for the fun night. Besides, I got call up for dinner in Vancouver D/T with my friend later, so no chance to play even if I had my gear with me. Anyway, I signed up for Thursday night only... this coming Tuesday is not good cuz I play at Renfrew (Vancouver) and I think Sunday is cancelled. Just to let you know the "intermediate" in RBC is not that high ..haha...I m a beginnger and they will probably put me somewhere in the advance or intermediate group. Sunday is usually very quite!! Brian told me a lot of times, people can play singles Cu on Thursday!
