Very good question.
But Ko/Shin aren't as fast as they used to be in their prime and they are struggling in their defense.
But on the other hand, they have more experience now and seem to have a better tactical understanding
Yes, agree. There‘s stamina issue for koreans too. Waiting to see how this game pans out.

surprisingly minions actually won the h2h against ko/shin (2-1) and the last time they met was in 2016

Ironically, the unseeded dark horse KOR pair have actually reached a higher level of achievement than their fancied opponents, being former world champions in 2014. So if they lose, minions can at least console themselves with having lost to a world class pair.

Ko and Shin were very unstable after their 2014 WC title, often not able to play at the level they should be able to.

On a sidenote: The Minions were on the rise, their speed and dynamic play was quite new and many players did not know how to handle them until 2017 (Boe/Mogensen, Chai/Hong, Liu/Zhang and later Endo/Watanabe).
 
like i said since the sudirman cup, i really want to see gideon playing with fajar...i think the partnership would be successful
